* About Me *
I was so strung out on music,  I went out every single night from the time I was 17 until I was
37.  If I wasn't playing I was hanging & dancing.

The Mudd Club was one of the first "Red Velvet Ropes"on the downtown scene..If you were in
a band that played the "scene" you were in free & immediately.  Max's Kansas City was a big
favorite and of course there was CBGB's.

I had a band called "Lisa & the Lost" -  Punky/Pop, very high energy!  We played everywhere.
Had two singles out: "Blackmail Daddy",  A tongue-in-cheek about incest, and "Turn the
Table", a getting even with a cheating boyfriend song.  We had a good reputation in the
underground scene.

At the same time I was in a Fashion-Performance Group called THE AMAZONS headed by the
lovely, pink-haired and very talented ANIMAL X.  Early on we were "The Pack"  and later
morphed into "Animal & The Amazons".  There were about 6 or 7 main girls plus models.  The
core group were all front singers from bands on the NYC scene:

Animal X --"Zerox"
Alexa Hunter--"Disturbed Funiture"
Deb O'Nair --"The Fuzz Tones"
Kathy Baily, Lea Strayer --" The Shangrilas"
and  of course Yours Truly  --"Lisa & the Lost"

We took tracks from our respective bands and figured out  harmony & choreography .  All
was done in outrageous costumes designed by Animal X.  Our most popular and famous
extravaganza was "THE JUNE BRIDES" ( which was mentioned in the Macauly Culkin movie
"Party Monster":  James St. James (Seth Green) gains entry into a club dressed as a bride
dripping blood by saying he's with "The June Brides").

Special Guest stars included:

Cyndi Lauper,  Micheal Musto, Jon Sex,  Brenda Bergman, Donna Destri,
Phoebe Legere,  Tish & Snooky of Manic Panic,  Klaus Naomi,
Joey Arias,  Ann Magnusen,  Mick Rock,  Keni Valenti and Lisa Yapp.

So many amazing people...and an amazing time.

We were a well publicised project:  Chauncy Howell of Live at Five News had us on 3 times.
We did the "Real People" show (one of the first TV magazines) and played all the large clubs
including  LIMELIGHT &  DANCEATERIA to name just two.

We did many videos which were featured on cable TV and in the clubs.  Pictures and stories
appeared in The Daily News,  The Soho News, US and New York Magazine.

AND NOW...

I am currently doing session work  and writing material for my upcoming CD.
 I also have a
dance song out in Mexico called "Hide Your Heart"  on Dinero Rosa Records as well as Male
Room's CD of dance songs , " Express Male ".

I teach vocal technique and live in Chelsea with my several cats and Frankie Monroe, a
talented bassist and singer/songwriter.
